One Text Initiative launched its Model Constitution making process on 3 February 2026 at BMICH with the presence of political leaders, legal experts, academics, civil society representatives and fellow citizens.
The launch was made meaningful with the insightful Keynote Speech delivered by Professor Deepika Udagama and a Panel Discussion moderated by Dr.Kalana Senaratne with the panellists, Dr. Jayampthy Wickramaratne, Dr. Kumaravadivel Guruparan, Mr. Udaya Gammanpila, Hon. Nizam Kariapper, and Dr. Ramesh Ramasamy.
This day marked the beginning of a process which will reach it’s end in January 2027 with a draft of Sri Lanka’s next Constitution.
