Dialogue with EPDP on the Model Constitution Process

As part of its continuing engagement with political parties and stakeholders across Sri Lanka, the One-Text Initiative met with Douglas Devananda of the Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) in Jaffna on 18 July 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce the Model Constitution initiative and discuss its broader consultative process. It was a positive, cordial and constructive exchange, contributing to OneText’s continuing efforts to encourage informed dialogue and broad participation in shaping a Model Constitution for Sri Lanka.
