OTI process is expected to ensure that Stakeholders:
- have gained deeper insight and understanding of issues, positions, concerns, implications, etc
- feel that issues important to them / to the political solution (from a broader perspective) are being addressed
- have been treated and respected equally irrespective of the size or the level of the political party
- have gained deeper mutual understanding and enhanced empathy
- feel a deeper sense of rapport and an enhanced positive relationship
- have had a constructive and fruitful dialogue
- have engaged in joint problem analysis
- have engaged in cooperative problem solving
- have been able to transcend or go beyond their positions and begin to identify mutual interests, common positions, and inclusive outcomes meeting the needs and goals of all parties
- have had their capacity to engage in effective dialogue, negotiations, and problem solving on the issues enhanced
- feel that the meetings were well-structured, well facilitated, and that their time was spent productively
- have a clear understanding of agreements, issues, proposals arrived at and the outcome of a meeting
- have engaged with knowledge produced by dialogues at all levels
- have arrived at proposals, insights and methods they would like to feed back to their parties to enhance their capacity to engage with the issues concerned constructively
- have successfully built consensus on issues aimed at a political solution to the ethnic conflict and issues on post-war reconciliation
have communicated and fed back to the national policy formulation process (Legislature, Ministry Circulars, etc.) via various intervention strategies and necessary implementation push is exerted
